Gulfport Florida

Incorporated in 1910, Gulfport is a coastal community that is situated in the southern part of Pinellas County, and along Florida’s Gulf Coast. Over the course of history, the area has been given several names to describe the area in its region, including Barnett’s Bluff, Bonifacio, Disston and Veteran City, before officially being named Gulfport. This was mainly because of the diversity of settlers who named the area accordingly upon their settlement.

The city is located between Interstate 275 and South Pasadena, covering a total area of 10.06 square kilometers according to the U.S census. In 2010, the total population recorded across the area was 12,029 people.

A diverse community of quaint shops and unique restaurants, the city is a beach city in the making. From the marina you can watch dolphins playing in the waves, savor fresh seafood, or gaze across the bay to Tampa Bay’s famous skyline. Top sights to explore near the city include, but are certainly not limited to Clam Bayou, Central Avenue, Art Walk and Florida Orange Groves Winery.
