Madeira Beach

Madeira Beach is a piece of paradise that is a boater's dream, it is also known as “Mad beach” for short. The city has direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, while the population has stayed about the same over the past 60 years.

The community has local events throughout the month to keep you busy from carnivals to fireworks and environmental clean up for the promotion of sea turtle season. You can go south to visit Treasure Island or to the north in Redington Beach.

Come and swim in the crystal clear beach, or head out to sea and go fishing, either way this is an area where you can either be close to a major city, while at the same time enjoy and relax with the ocean breeze.

You may think that this is a major tourist spot, however, Madeira Beach is fairly quiet as it is a hidden gem and mostly attracts locals. The population of this city in 2020 was 3,895 people, where the majority hang out at the entertainment district called John’s Pass. Unique things to see include the “Church by the Sea”, also known as the Chicken Church since it looks like one.
