Nassau County is a U.S County that is located in the Northeastern region of Florida. Founded in December 1924, the city was originally a part of Duval County and is named after the Duchy of Nassau in Germany, an independent state that existed in Germany from 1806 to 1866. Nassau has its county seat in Fernandina Beach, a city located in the northern part of the Atlantic Coast. There are 5 incorporated communities in the area, out of which Yulee is the largest incorporated community. The community spans over a total geographical area of 726 square miles, and the total population in the city is about 88,625 people, recorded in 2019.
