Porsche Design Tower
The Porsche Design Tower is a unique residential apartment block that lets residents keep vehicles in-unit instead of in a ground-level parking lot. The 56-story building built in 2016 offers 132 residences with three to five bedrooms. Located on Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, the tower is now a well-known landmark and coveted address.
The Building
The Porsche Design Tower’s standout feature is the Dezervator – a one-of-a-kind elevator that lifts residents’ vehicles to their units hundreds of feet above the ground. The core of the building has a large hollow shaft that lets residents move their prized cars and vans to and from ground level and their apartments – part of Porsche’s philosophy to keep vehicles and their owners close to each other.
Porsche describes the Design Tower’s Dezervator as a robotic lift. Residents begin by driving their vehicles onto a circular rotating pad. The machine then orientates their car to face the Dezervator lift shaft. The door of the Dezervator opens, and a sled jack is released under the vehicle, lifting it via all four wheels and pulling it into the machine. During this process, the driver can remain in their car.
Once the vehicle is inside the Dezervator, the door closes behind, and the elevator moves upwards through the building. The Dervator then follows a pre-programmed trajectory to the residents’ Sky Garage, unloading the car via the retractable winch sled.
Some Porsche Design Tower residences have space for multiple vehicles. The Dezervator can arrange vehicles in specific parking spaces using its sled without the driver having to switch on the engine. It can then retrieve them when required.
Naturally, the Porsche Design Tower offers a range of additional amenities designed to elevate residents’ quality of life. For instance, there is an on-site private restaurant serving the finest cuisine. Chilled wine lockers are available on-site, and an outdoor lounge facing the ocean residents can use any time. Other amenities include golf and racing simulators, a private cinema, a beauty salon, and a 24-hour concierge. The gym comes with a multi-gym machine for pull-downs and rows, numerous treadmills, cross-trainers, and hip flexion machines. The race simulator has space for two people and a multi-purpose club room with stadium seating.
Barcelona F.C. veteran and Argentinian soccer superstar, Lionel Messi, is said to own a condominium in the development. Other wealthy and famous residents include Mexican billionaire Carlos Peralta Quintero and Carlos “CarGo” González, the star player of the Colorado Rockies.
Nearby, the Porsche Design Tower offers easy access to Aventura Mall and Bal Harbour Shops. The building is also close to 200 feet of sugar-sand Atlantic Ocean frontage, allowing residents to access stunning nearby locations to swim, bathe their feet, and enjoy the views out to sea. An oceanfront ballroom with a kitchen is available for functions for dozens of guests.
The Porsche Design Tower also offers residents a car concierge. Homeowners can get their vehicles valeted and maintained with ease. Concierges can then use the Dezervator to return cars to residents once finished.
The Residences
All 132 condo residents in the Porsche Design Tower span two floors. Units come with European-designed finishes, imported cabinetry, and high-end fittings and fixtures in the bathroom and kitchens. Specific luxuries include Miele appliances, Toto automatic toilets, and Dornbracht fixtures. Poggenpohl-designed kitchens offer expansive islands and motorized doors on cabinets for a serene cooking experience.
Each unit offers 3,130 and 6,121 square feet of living space with private elevator access. Ceilings are between 10 and 20 feet tall, with most accommodations offering universal floor-to-ceiling windows. Some units have residents' balconies ranging from 800 to 1,600 square feet with private and spectacular views of Florida and the Atlantic Ocean.
Every unit also has a private sky garage for storing vehicles. Oversized terraces offer private swimming pools and summer kitchens for a luxurious outdoor living environment. Residents can enjoy ventless gas fireplaces in their living rooms and a choice of panoramic ocean, Intracoastal, or city views.
Concierge services are available 24 hours. Residents can request taxis, room service, and cleaning services.
Finally, each two-story unit comes with a private interior elevator. Residents can quickly move through their accommodation without taking the stairs.
