A city that was incorporated on August 15, 1963, the city is situated in the Broward County of Florida, U.S. The history of this community dates back to the early 60’s when Ken Behring, a young developer bought land in the area to create a city based on a two-bedroom community. He named the city Tamarac, named after the Country Club in Oakland Park, Florida.
In the following years, some structures and buildings were constructed in Tamarac, while preserving the city’s identity as a bedroom community. Today, the city stands tall as a suburban city, with a total area of 12.15 square miles, and a total population of 66,721 people, as of 2019.
