Coral Springs Florida

Coral Springs, Florida is believed to be the fifth-largest city in Broward County and the fifteenth largest in the State of Florida approximately twenty miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale and almost ten miles southwest of Boca Raton.

Having a populace of about one hundred thousand, Coral Springs covers twenty-four and a half square miles of land. Fifty-five years ago, 3,860 acres of land was first bought by James S. Hunt and Joe Taravelle of Coral Ridge Properties with the incentive to create a planned city from scratch. They bought it for one million dollars from Lena Lyons, widow of Henry ‘Bud’. Today, Coral Springs is well-known for its proper planning and organization.

For the world which has only seen today’s Coral Springs, Florida as developed as it is, it is hard to believe that the now “built-out” city was once a mere green bean farm and cattle field only semi-centennial ago.The environment that the city provides to its residents is so comfortable, healthy, and adequate that nearly one lac and twenty-one thousand people call it their home. The official website of the city says that their mission is;

“To be the premier city in Florida to live, work, and raise a family.”
